Lucy Valente keeps surprising us, for years she was our Social Convener and often wrote poems to go along with the theme of the evening - now she has decided to become our Secretary and is already doing an excellent job. Congratulations Lucy.

Birds of a Feather

As we all meet and join together
we are reminded that we are
like Birds of a feather
different in our plumage and
special bird song
we each are given a certain gift to
make us all belong

Friendship

Friendships are like flowers, they start from seeds
we nurture and tend to all their special needs
we can see it flourish and strengthen through the years
it will see many changes with our laughter and our tears
so take heart dear friend as it stands as a symbol
of you and I
we will watch it grow together and reach for the sky
