Since Peter Van Loan didn't have time to get his dessert, he grabbed something for the road from the dessert table. Looking at the delicious desserts you could hardly blame him!

The OHA Service Certificate honours a member for 10 or more years of active membership, service on committees and/or beautification, encouragement for new members, inspirational to their society, shown interest in, and supported their society. This award can only ever be received once.
This year Vice President Marilyn Elliott presented it to a very happy Phyllis Caulton, who by the way turned 90 in 2011

The Society President's Award is given to a member in recognition of an outstanding contribution to the society's activities. This year it was presented by Vice President, Marilyn Elliott to Jenni Murrell for her work as Flower Show Convener, her well researched suggestions for designs and keeping members and directors well informed as the society's e-mail communicator

The Society President's Award is given to a member in recognition of an outstanding contribution to the society's activities. This year it was presented by Vice President, Marilyn Elliott to Groundskeeper, Glenn Rogers for his outstanding work in the South Innisfil Arboretum. Glenn has worked many hours with the Town of Innisfil to get the much needed help to maintain the grounds. This year the place has looked immaculate.

25 Year Service Pins were presented by Vice President, Marilyn Elliott to Ruth Bolt and Earle and Helen Gilmore this year. The President is looking on making sure they are pinned on correctly!

Joan and Art Harper (not present) each received a 20 year Service Pin.

And the Merry Bunch: Ida Sorensen, Mona Rea and Phyllis Caulton each received a 15 year Service Pin.

Last year's recipient President, Judith Matchett, handing over the Award for the Best Chrysanthemum to this year's recipient Diane Sykes. Might we have a competition going on here!

The Award for Overall Points for Rose Shows was presented to Victor Foster by Ida Sorensen
Victor won with 19 points, Eveline Teras came second with 16 points and Judy White third with 12 points.

President, Judith Matchett was presented with the Award for Overall Points in House Plants by Her Honour, Mayor Barb Baguley - The recipient Isobel Dahl (unable to attend) won with 29 points, Jenni Murrell came second with 20 points and Eveline Teras third with 13 points

Eveline Teras won the Award for Most Points in Vegetables with Phyllis Caulton presenting. She won big with 62 points, Jenni Murrell came second with 44 points and Nancy Elder third with 23 points.

Last year's winner Lucy Valente handing the Award for Most Points in Flower Design "B" over to this year's recipient Agnes More. This is the second and last time Agnes will be receiving the award. She scored over 20 points and more than one 1st place, so she will be competing in class "A" in 2012

The Largest Spanish Onion was grown by Jenni Murrell this year. The prize awarded by Lakeview Gardens and handed over by Rob Radcliffe was a Gift Certificate for $50 - hence her extra big smile

Johanna Chudzinski, with many flower show awards to her name, presented the Award for Most Points in Floral Design "A" to Jenni Murrell. Jenni won with 63 points, Marilyn Elliott and Eveline Teras came second with 28 points each and Mona Rea third with 17 points

Last year's recipient Eveline Teras presenting the Award for Overall Points in Flower Show Specimens to this year's recipient Jenni Murrell. It seems they are taking turns for this award. Jenni won with 191 points, Eveline came second with 179 and Marilyn Elliott third with 127 points.

The Kathryn Bury Original Painting went to the most improved in the design division this year. The winner Agnes More shown here with Kathryn Bury, the artist herself.
