South Innisfil Arboretum

Enjoy the Arboretum

Come, walk around, take some time to explore and enjoy the tranquillity the Arboretum offers. Birds have already discovered this natural habitat; bird lovers should follow. Bring along a picnic and enjoy your meal surrounded by nature. This is a fabulous spot to experiene the trees, relax on a park bench and smell the flowers. There are four seasons to enjoy here - don't let the snow stop you, use snowshoes!

On October 5, 2009 the First Stroud Beavers visited the South Innisfil Arboretum. Pictured are the Beavers in front of the 34 foot totem pole.
They had a tour to view the grounds and trees including the flagpole where there is a monument to Florence Luck who donated the land for this tree garden.
The waterwise garden, pond in the upper meadow and fox holes that a mother and two kits had used this spring were seen too.
The 53 year old tractor used to plant trees was brought out to help emphasize that all the work done at the arboretum is by volunteers.
Some of the volunteers are having a nice little picnic. From the left Judith, Jenni, Art and Joan

The arboretum is open to everybody for family picnics
Walking in the arboretum is good for both the heart and soul. From the left Phyllis, Eve and Mona

The arbor also has a resting place!!
The walk is finished and we are getting our picture taken at the end of the grass garden. From the left Phyllis, Eve, Jenni, Mona and Aussie
