On October 5, 2009 the First Stroud Beavers visited the South Innisfil Arboretum. Pictured are the Beavers in front of the 34 foot totem pole.

They had a tour to view the grounds and trees including the flagpole where there is a monument to Florence Luck who donated the land for this tree garden. |
The waterwise garden, pond in the upper meadow and fox holes that a mother and two kits had used this spring were seen too.
The 53 year old tractor used to plant trees was brought out to help emphasize that all the work done at the arboretum is by volunteers.

If you get tired there are benches to sit on |

Here is Ozzy again. Dogs are welcome at the arboretum - we only ask that you stoop and scoop

The arbor also has a resting place!!

The walk is finished and we are getting our picture taken at the end of the grass garden. From the left Phyllis, Eve, Jenni, Mona and Aussie
