South Innisfil Arboretum

MAY 28, 2011 PLANT, TAILGATE, BAKE SALE & BBQ SCHEDULE

Our 2011 Major Fundraiser, the Giant Plant Sale and B.B.Q at the South Innisfil Arboretum, took place on Saturday, May 28, 2011 from 8 a.m. to 1.p.m. We also featured a Bake Table, Raffle Ticket Sale, Membership Sign Up Table and Vendors with all sorts of crafty and interesting things to sell. Profits from this sale and the B.B.Q. Breakfast and Lunch will go to support both the Arboretum and the Horticultural Society.

Cathy Reid, this year's Convener of the Plant, Tailgate, Baking Sale and B.B.Q., again did a fantastic job at making this event a great success. This year we had 24 vendors, and it really showed up in the profit at the end of the day. The weather was overcast and drizzly, but it didn't seem to dampen the spirits. Again we had the sale in the parking lot, and again it worked out really well. Thank you to everyone who came out and spent their money, our volunteers and also Thank You to Miriam King and Chris Simon for coming out to record this event for their respective papers.
