South Innisfil Arboretum

Spring Work & Learn at the Arboretum

May 22, 2010 arrived pleasantly cool and sunny, and a lot of work was accomplished by the 14 workers, who showed up that morning.

We cleaned up the driveway, the ditches, and under the trees, weeded the flowerbeds and did a lot of raking.

The picnic tables have been set up for the season. Composters were set up in the enclosure, as there is no point in wasting all those leaves and trimmings!

After all that, workers were rewarded with sandwiches, salads and goodies for dessert as well as cold drinks and coffee.

Many thanks to all of our volunteers, who were so generous with their time. Great job everyone!

Also Thank You to our favorite reporters Miriam King and Chris Simon for showing up to record our efforts.
